What we collect

When you create an account: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password — it's hashed with bcrypt before it touches the database). When you apply to host: your name or business name, contact email and phone, and any trade license or message you choose to include. When you host or enter a giveaway: the giveaway details you submit, and a record that you entered (so we can enforce one entry per person and run the draw).

How we use it

To run your account (signing in, showing your listings and entries), to run giveaway draws fairly, to follow up on host applications, and to send account-related email — verifying your address, password resets, and (if you're a host) confirmations related to your application. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Cookies and local storage

Your session is kept in your browser's local storage as a signed token, so you stay signed in between visits — clearing your browser's site data signs you out. We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic (which pages get visited, roughly how many people browse or enter giveaways); it sets standard analytics cookies to do this. We don't use it for advertising, and it doesn't affect your account or entries.

What hosts see

If you enter a giveaway, the host can see your name and ticket number if you're drawn as the winner, so they can contact you about the prize. Hosts don't see your email, phone, or password.

Data retention

We keep account and giveaway data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us — see our About page.

Third parties

We use third-party services to operate Naseeb: a hosted Postgres database to store data, an email provider to send verification and account emails, and (if you upload an image when hosting) an image hosting service to store that file. None of them receive your password.

Your rights

You can review or correct your account details at any time by signing in, and you can request that we delete your account and data. Contact us through the details on our About page for either.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
